A.P.E. Strength Training
General Hitting Class (Ages 13+)
This class is geared toward players transitioning to the Modified, J.V. or Varsity levels. Hitters will work on proper mechanics, game situations and the proper mental approach to baseball. Continued emphasis will be on grip, stance, balance and swing path. In addition, players will understand pre-game preparation, situational hitting and how to develop an approach at the plate. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by Coach Lloyd Quick. The class runs from 6-7pm and will begin on Wednesday, October 30th and extend through December 11th with no class on November 27th.
General Hitting Class (Ages 8-12)
This class will teach proper hitting mechanics. Players will form a foundation that will allow for growth and promote success. The emphasis will be on grip, stance, balance and swing path. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by one of our Baseball U NY Coaches. The class runs from 6-7pm and will begin on Monday, November 4th and extend through December 9th.
General Fielding Class (Ages 8-15)
This class is designed for players who are interested in fine tuning their fieldingskills. The program is broken into two parts – "Drills" and "Skills". The "Drills" portion is to create good habits and body movement that allows the player to improve their mechanics. The "Skills" portion allows players to implement new skills and reinforce the mechanics learned during drill work. This class will emphasize mechanics, footwork, approach, pre-pitch routines, positioning to different situations, covering bases and situational planning. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by Coach Lloyd Quick. The class runs from 7-8pm and will begin on Wednesday, October 30th and extend through December 11th with no class on November 27th.
General Catching Class
This class will train the proper mechanics and techniques necessary for development, and to avoid injury. The emphasis will be on lower body conditioning, pre-game duties, catching stances, arm positioning, receiving, blocking, framing, giving and receiving signs and pitcher/catcher rapport. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by Coach Lloyd Quick. The class runs from 7-8pm and will begin Monday, November 4th and extend through December 9th.
“AA” Pitching Class (Ages 13+)
This class will emphasize proper mechanics, injury prevention, learning new pitches, pitching from the stretch, holding runners on and pick-offs. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by Coach Bryan Gaal. The class runs from 9-10am and will begin on Saturday, November 2nd and extend through December 14 with no class on November 30th.
“A” Pitching Class (Ages 8-12)
This class will teach proper throwing and pitching mechanics. Pitchers will build a foundation that will promote success and decrease the chance of injury. The emphasis will be on proper arm angles, release points, balance and the safe introduction of different pitches. This class will meet for 60 minutes, once a week for 6 weeks with instruction by Coach Bryan Gaal. The class runs from 7-8pm and will begin on Monday, November 4th and extend through December 9th.

INFORMATION ON OUR CLASS INSTRUCTORS:
BRYAN GAAL: Played professionally for 8 years; Coached professionally for 2 years; Pitched at the AAA level and has 2 League Championships; Pitched professionally in Venezuela
BEN GAAL: Played Division I at LeMoyne; Strength and Conditioning Coach in the Los Angeles Organization and currently for LeMoyne College
LLOYD QUICK: 2-Time JUCO and Mid-State Conference Coach of the Year

1. Train like a college player and hit off of the ProBatter system simulating live pitching, https://probatter.com
2. Teams of 3-4 in 2 different age groups, 13U or 14+, will hit for 1 hour against each other (velocities will be age appropriate)
3. You can put a team together within the age group or let us know you are interested and we will put you on a house team.
4. Point system for singles, doubles, triples, homeruns
5. Each hitter gets a specific number of swings per round and you rotate through to get as many quality swings in as you can in the hour time slot.
6. At the end of the league, each player on the winning team in each age group gets a $25 credit to use toward the next session, lessons, clothing, etc.
7. League MVP for each age group will win a wood bat
8. 6 Saturdays over 7 weeks, starting November 2nd and ending December 14th, with no league November 30th. Hour slots will vary beginning at noon and extending through the afternoon dependent on number of teams
9. Cost per player is $68 (cash/check discount to $65) and sign-ups will conclude on Tuesday, October 29th to allow preparation of the team schedules which will be released on the 31st
A.P.E. would like to announce the next strength and conditioning class being offered at The Warehouse. This Off-Season class is designed specifically for baseball/softball players looking to improve strength, speed, agility, and conditioning over the winter, while also repairing any imbalances that may have occurred as the result of the long summer and fall baseball/softball seasons. The class also acts as preparation for the second phase of the Off-Season program that runs from mid-November thru mid-December, as well as the Pre-Season session that will be offered in January. Please note, this class can be modified to tailor the needs of athletes that are currently in-season or are preparing for winter sports. Classes will meet on Mondays/Thursdays/Saturdays for four weeks. Each session will be one hour long and will be held from 7-8pm on Mondays, 6-7pm on Thursdays and 10-11am on Saturdays. The class will run from Monday, October 21st thru Saturday, November 16th. Class will not be held on Thursday, October 31st. Price of the class is $288 credit or $275 cash/check and is limited to 10 athletes per section. Missed classes may not be able to be made up due to the instructor’s schedule, but all efforts will be made to work with the athletes. Payment plans are available.
